Island Habitat Restoration Task Force: A Partnership
in Invasive Plant Management New Jersey Audubon Society.
To reduce the potentially negative effects that invasive plants may have on the
bird populations and other wildlife that use the habitats found on Cape Island,
the Cape Island Habitat Restoration Task Force (CIHRTF) has formed under the
coordination of the New Jersey Audubon Society. This task force includes partnerships
with New Jersey Division of Fish and Wildlife, New Jersey Division of Parks and
Forestry, and the Nature Conservancy.

Species Strike Team (CJSST)
The Central Jersey Invasive
Species Strike Team (CJISST) was organized in 2008
by the Friends of Hopewell Valley Open Space (FoHVOS)
and the Upper Raritan Watershed Association (URWA).
CJISST represents New Jersey's first comprehensive
effort toward Early detection and rapid response through
public-private partnerships.
