Executive Order 13112 calls for the creation of a Federal Advisory Committee to provide information and advice for consideration by the Council. The ISAC is composed of thirty-two stakeholders from state organizations, industry, conservation groups, scientists, academia and other interests. The members serve two-year terms. Below you can see the current members of ISAC, their terms expire this December. The Council is seeking new nominations to the ISAC. Please refer to the Federal Register notice for further information or call us at (202) 208-6336.

In January of 2000, the first ISAC was convened in Washington, DC. The ISAC has been instrumental in writing the National Invasive Species Council Management Plan. Several working groups were convened under the auspices of ISAC to help write the eight sections of the Plan.
